What You Have To Do

Before completing the application forms you will need to decide the following:

  • Who will be the registered owner of your registered personality rights? We can provide various optional holding structures for you – see here.
  • Who is the person behind the personality and who is to be the registered personality? This may or may not be the same, for example Joseph Smith may be the person behind the registered personality ‘Joseph Smith’. If however, Robyn Fenty were to register, then she would be the person behind the registered personality of ‘Rihanna’.
  • What images do you want to represent the registered personality? Usually, the first image is a photograph of the registered personality, but not necessarily so. You can always add as many images as you wish later.

You’ll have to provide evidence of your usual residential address and proof of identity.

You’ll have to confirm that you own copyright to any photographs that you wish to use as a registered image (that usually means photographs you took yourself), or that you have permission from the copyright holder to register the photograph as a registered image.
